At Easter, we plant lollipop seeds for the kids. When we color eggs, I leave the colors on the counter and after the children go to bed, I put some rice in the colors, let it sit for about 10 minutes, drain them, dry them and put them in little baggies in their baskets.
They take the seeds out in the yard, throw them out (they only work after being touched once. If they try to save them, they don't work) and water them. Get them involved in something else while you go out and put lollipops in the ground. Little kids just LOVE going to "pick" the lollipops.

My family has a weird tradition on Thanksgiving. Every year on Thanksgiving day, someone ends up in the hospital. One year my Granny died (my father's mother), one year my cousin fell off her bike and had to have emergency brain surgery, last year my Nana (my mother's mother) broke her ankle... We said at last year's Thanksgiving visit to the ER that this year's Thanksgiving would be help in the parking lot of the hospital!

My family likes to go up North to see the leaves changing when Autumn comes around. I know it's not that cool, but we all enjoy nature so we have fun.
