I have 109,000 miles and don't haul things. Also, would "higher mileage" oils better than semi-sythetic oils?

Thank in advance.

you don't need anything special. They make all these oils now that are supposed to be designed for every type of vehicle and type of driving. Quaker State calls their oil 4x4. So you think well I have a 4x4 so I should use that oil. Same thing with all the brands it is all marketing. The only advantage to the high mileage oil would be if you are burning oil. It does have an additive package that reconditions and softens the valve guides. But if you are using the normal 1/2-1 quart of oil between changes and you don't see blue smoke from the exhaust then just save your money and continue to use what you normally would. Most likely a 10w30 possibly even 5w30.

i own a repair shop, and right now would be the perfect time to put a good synthetic oil on it,i use Mobil one in all mine that have high mileage, and it does improve the running of them and also it lubricates a lot better than conventional oil does, and by using it now,it will make you get a lot more miles out of it,anything with over 80 thousand miles on it this oil will help it to last a lot longer, there is no better oil on the market today than the synthetic oil, good luck with it,i hope this helps.

I think the syn-blends (half regular and half synthetic) are a good compromise and should extend your drain intervals to 8,000 miles. However, review the Mobil One website below and decide yourself. I've used Mobil One since the mid '70s and you can depend on it. Many car dealers are using the synblend for standard oil changes now.
