Well if you are in high school I would not worry to much about it, you can go back to being friends with people that don't respect you but you could become friends with others who are in similar situations (they don't quite fit in) most people don't realize that once you graduate for High School and everyone goes there own was either straight to a job or off to college that the friends you had in High School are a part of your past you meet new people and stronger friendships are created in College with the whole I grown and master of my universe attitude most people get. Friends are good to have but if you think really clearly about it you will realize that of the10 or so people that you now consider friends you will be lucky to still be acquainted with at least one of them in 5 years. My favorite saying goes. People are in your life for a reason, a season, or a life time. you have to decide which. Good luck and just be nice and you will be surprised at how many people actually like you.

Why go back to the old group if you are so different to them, you won't enjoy it. Get out, join a hobby club or something so you can meet people who like the same things you do. Learn that your value as a person rests in yourself, not other people's opinions of you or their acceptance. People don't like needy, clingy friends...you need to build up your self-confidence by learning your positive points and maximizing them. If you look desperate you run people off.

Stop thinking about "groups" and see yourself as a unique person, who has different aspects. Be yourself, and you will attract the people that want to share a friendship with you. Above all, don't try to fit yourself into a group that doesn't respect you or your likes/dislikes. That just makes you a phony, and justifies the disrespect. Be yourself, and friends will find you!

Dear one, I don't think I'd return to the old group if they were mistreating you and were not supportive of you in the first place. Plus, they might be a quite sore at you for leaving them in the first place and be even rougher on you for hanging out with these older mates and now wanting back with them. Be careful.

No you shouldn't go back to your old group. If they treat you bad you should not stay with that feeling for a long time. If they don't accept you why would you even go back? Stay with your new group who accepts you and treats you like your as important as everyone else(which you are anyway).

You don't want to hang out with them again because of the reason you left them before. It doesn't sound like you were happy. Why hang out with them if it only makes you miserable?
Make new friends. I'm sure you'll find other people who WILL accept you just for who you are. Cliche, but true. Why do you want to hang out with people who want to change you?
You get one life. It's yours. Why let other people define it when you can make it so you're happy with who you are? Hang out with people you want to hang out with so you can be who you want, not who others want you to be.

You should go to your old group of friends and talk to them. Say to them that you want their friendship, and that you want to be friends again. But that they should respect your choice of music, and the way that you wear. And u should tell them that u also respect how they wear and what music do thy listen to.

tough one.....I'd say talk to your old friends.tell them about your situation..if they are good people they should let you come back..and just tell them that you don't like the way that they single you out.and that you could still be friends even though you dress different then them.and listen to other music.-
