I have a nice Jazz Archtop with stainless steel strings that I play twice a week and I haven't tuned it in over a month, and when I do, I only have to tune the G or low E. The other guitars I have that have lighter gauge strings have to be tuned more often, usually every time I play. I have an electronic tuner that makes it easy.

There are a lot of factors that go into tuning stability. The humidity and temperature, the nature of the woods used in the guitars construction, the design of the guitar, the gauge and age of the strings and the quality of the setup.

I have had mine go out of tune just taking it in the car in the cold(in a case) , then into a warm place. It needs to be tuned on a regular basis, maybe just a wee bit, but even putting on your capo will put one string out. If you have an electronic tuner, it's so much easier to take it out of the case & give it a quick tuning. Anyone who really cares about how their guitar sounds, will be a fuss budget about wanting it in tune. The electronic tuner is just small & easy to use & puts it in tune with a piano.

I have a small six string acoustic guitar and it has no problems staying in tune, however it's not the same for my other guitar which is also a six string. I think it has to do with the tuning pegs not the size of the guitar.

A while. Like 2-3 weeks. But you can download a tuner on the computer and tune it to your computer.

It depends on how often you play, how hard you play, how stretched the strings are, what type of bridge/tuners you have, climate control of the storage room...

So, my advice to you is don't not move it. Pick it up and play it everyday! So you know when it goes out of tune, and when you need new strings.

Cheers.

my better guitars stay in tune forever,, tho the might lose a semi tone over time,,, the best way ive found is when i first string them is to pull kinda hard on the strings at the 12th fret retune, pull ,,tune, pull, tune till they dont go out when i pull,, even the cheaper ones respond to that :):) hope i helped :)

Depends on the quality of your tuners and how hard and how often you play. It can be anywhere from two days to two weeks.
