No I only do it because it needs to be done. It tickles too much anyways. And I'm always afraid its gonna go too deep. But I hate using the ear cleaning solution worse. Something about the feel of liquid in my ear isn't very appealing to me. Feels kinda gross.

No, its bad for you. It causes wax to build up. I once had to go to the doc to get a HUGE ball of wax removed because I could barely hear out of that ear.
Q-Tips were the culprit.
