Farve wants Moss and so does the the packers. There are basically a couple issues with the trade. Originally the Raiders asking price for Moss was a 2nd rounder and a wide receiver in return for Moss (also complicating the issue was when wes walker was traded to the patriots for 2nd and 7th rounder, it raised the price for Moss, if walker is worth a 2nd and 7th then moss is worth at least a 1st rounder). The packers countered by offering Aaron Rodgers for Randy Moss. The Raiders want in addition a conditional draft pick based on Aaron Rodgers performance. The problem is the packer's know that the raiders are not a good team and they may even bench Rodgers next year at some point, just so the raiders get a better pick as compensation from the packers. So the packers want the performance to be based on 2 years and instead of a 2008 pick it would be a 2009 pick. This seems to be the major hang up at this point. The other Major problem is Moss's Cap number is way too big. if he comes to the packers, the packers want him to renegotiate to a more friendly cap number. Not sure if Randy is gonna be willing to do that. Those are the main obstacles to this trade right now. And its seems like its gonna be worked out. And I think randy will be willing to renegotiate to get out of oakland. Just as a side note the agent for Farve is the same agent for Randy Moss who also happens to be the same agent for Calvin Johnson. So the same guy can make his client farve happy by renegotiating moss's contract thus making him a packer, and at the same time most likely clearing the way for his other client Calvin Johnson to become the #1 overall pick.

It's all speculation and rumor. It sounds like the Packers have mild interest but aren't going to trade much for him. And rightfully so, Moss hasn't done anything with the Raiders, and blaming the QB for that isn't totally right. Moss could make a few plays, but when he starts taking plays off it will ruin team chemistry. He's not worth any risk. So Packer fans, don't be excited by this rumor, it's only a rumor, and even if it pans out it will be a huge mistake.

I'm a diehard Packers fan too even though I live in Alabama. Most of the Cheeseheads dont want Moss in Green Bay. I'm not one of them. I think that Favre can keep Moss happy. If there's one player that Moss does respect it's Brett. I think it's unlikely for us to acquire him though b/c the Raiders gave up a 1st round pick to get him and that's what their gonna want in return. I dont think the Pack should give up a first rounder b/c we need a running back and from what I hear Marshawn Lynch would be there. If they dont want to give up a first rounder then it would take a second or third and a guy like Gbaja-Biamilla. They MIGHT do that simply b/c they resigned Cullen Jenkins to a long term deal and he even got benched last year when they decided that they only wanted to use him in pass rush situations. Apparently they think his run stopping skills have deminished. So hopefully that answers your question. I wouldnt mind giving up KGB and a third rounder but anything more that that might not be worth it. Go Packers!

If this involves a trade the Raiders would like to acquire Aaron Rogers and then they could draft OT Joe Thomas.
The Packers are contemplating it even though they picked up Rogers to be their franchise quarterback---after evaluating him they can see two more years in Favre and moving in a different direction with their future quarterback. The packers have seen the mediocrity of the NFC and see a chance to win now. That is the only reason they would acquire him and cutting their losses with Rogers
It's not likely that this would go through but it is being discussed

Dude your a stockholder? That's awesome, and I think Moss and Favre would work, Driver and Franks underneath and Moss deep... Awesome, not to mention I think Moss being around Favre and Driver will help his attitude and make him happy again.... I am not a Packers fan but I would love to see Favre throwing some deep balls to some good recievers again... *cough Sterling cough* Not a Packer fan but a Favre Fan

it is all hypothesis. i do no longer think of the Packers confirmed that plenty pastime. The media in basic terms jumped on the tale because of the fact one reporter theory it could be a competent commerce. Moss isn't well worth something larger than a 5th around %.. The Packers comprehend this and could await his fee to drop in the event that they quite need him.

They said they won't according to ESPN and I think it was on Sportscenter. Said the only way they would take Moss is if the Raiders cut him so they could basically rewrite the contract and make it the way they wanted it.
