Each time I see a lion in a documentary, that beast is always sleeping under a tree...would be too lazy to fight anything (the lionness is the one running around hunting for food). The lion just takes it easy, sleeping and sometimes getting up just to make more babies.
Fighting a gorilla? no way, have to go back to sleep.
Then the gorilla would just have to stand there with a banana in its hand...

It' d be close but in the end I think the gorilla would win. Cause come to think of it how will the lion kill the gorilla if the gorilla is prepared? Unlike other lion prey the gorilla is flexible. It can turn around and reach any part of its body. It is also 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 500 pounds. It is extremely powerful and leopards always shun adult males only preying on small gorillas. So if an adult silverback male fought a adult male lion I think gorilla would win. The gorilla also has a powerful bite and if it got a chane it could snap a lions backbone.

close match though! :)

The gorilla would win. Lions kill their prey by placing their mouth over the muzzle of an animal and suffocating it. A Gorilla's mouth is not the shape a lion would be expecting. When he tried to do his kiss of death, the gorilla would swat him and send him flying. At this point the lion would do what they always do: Weigh the risks against the benefits, and give up in favour of easier prey. Since the gorilla spends so little time being aggressive, it would let the lion back out.

Hmmm...... nicely, no longer the jaguar because of the fact he's smaller than the others. The gorilla is larger than the lion however the lion has deadlier the teeth and claws and is a organic predator. i might flow with the lion until the gorilla gets fortunate and a technique or the different manages to get in close and tear off a limb while not having gored. Kinda gross, huh?

The gorilla.
If it's King Kong...
Then again, gorillas in general ARE pretty tough. I think it might be an equal shot for both of them.

A gorrilla is far more powerfull but is not a naturally agressive creature or a hunter so the lion would probably win.
Let me know when you when you try this out...... I love a good scrap!!
