An investigation was just completed by Patrick Fitzgerald and no one was charged with outing Valerie Plame. So, what is the purpose of this investigation and why do I have to pay for this again. Can't the Democrats find something to do like fix social security? Why are the tax dollars being wasted.

This question has nothing to do with Clinton. If you are going to say somthing about him go elsewhere.

Because they are trying to criminalize conservativism. They cannot beat us at the ballot box, so they trump up charges.

Surely you don't believe either party can be trusted to deliver the truth about their own internal affairs? Valerie Plame's difficulties were created by Republican politicians and can only be properly investigated by adversarial Democrats. Didn't hostile Republicans investigate Bill Clinton's famous B. Job? Since both parties are spectacularly unethical, it's absolutely necessary that they continuously investigate each other's affairs.

Because the days of a do-nothing, rubberstamp congress went bye-bye last fall sparky.

They aren't going to sweep this one under the rug - it involves to many key players in the administration. Scooter managed to screw himself by lying under oath. Look at the link under 'source' and watch Valerie Plame under oath. Now, wait until the next person from this administration is put on the stand, and they will perjure themselves as well. Maybe it'll get to be Karl - or maybe even Dick!!

Dubyas agenda is already derailed. GOP'ers are clutching at straws. Bye Bye boys!!

Oh and to bring up social security (or the cost of the next round of the CIA leak investigations), when your pretzelnit still has us stuck in a 1/2 trillion dollar mongolian clusterf**k in iraq is the height of retarded.

Thank you for giving me something to laugh at this afternoon.

Oh -- enjoy the video, and if any of the lying sacks of sh*t working for the right-wing noise machine (I already heard a few seconds of Lush Rimjaughb today) think they disprove her statements - go for it, it'll make it that much funnier to listen too!!!

AP - WASHINGTON — The chairman of a congressional committee said Friday that even though prosecutors brought no charges for the 2003 leak of a CIA operative's identity, questions remain about whether policies were followed.

"It's not our job to determine criminal culpability, but it is our job to determine what went wrong and insist on accountability," Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., said as he opened hearings before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

Congress has the right to investigate matters regardless of whether criminal charges were brought. If there were no inquiries by congress except upon a criminal conviction, how would it exercise its oversight responsibilities with regard to the executive branch?

Congress had the right to investigate and impeach Bill Clinton, despite no criminal charges being lodged.

They want to show how the republican party failed at something. The Bush administration got away with all kinds of things while they ran this country, and the Democrats finally found something that they could use against the corrupt administration. However, I do feel the same as you when you say that they shoudl use tax dollars for something more beneficial, but really when you think about it, the money they are using is only one small straw of hay in the ten ton hay bail of frivolous government spending that already plagues this country. I commend them for finally digging into the festering sore of corrupt politics, but the truth is that they are just as guilty for several other reasons as well.

It's called politics.

Like when they spent all that time trying to get a draft passed that would inable them to have a non-binding arguement about the Iraq war.

Your words:
..........are investigating the CIA leak?
.................and no one was charged with outing Valerie Plame.

If there was a 'leak', and she was 'outed', then Fitzgerald obviously didn't do his job.
The Dems are doing his job.
