The money, by law can't be used for abortion. BUT, PP diverts the money to other PP programs.

Because Planned Parenthood doesn't just do abortions. They also help the low income people with pap smears, birth control (pill, shots, condoms) Many times when people come out of places like that they are accused of aborting a child when they could be there just for a check up and have never even been pregnant.

Supporting places like this there is more than meets the eye.

I have gone to Planned Parenthood, to get a pregnancy test, cause I couldn't afford one. This was years ago before they had them at the $1 store. There was no fee, I check out completely and even put on a birth control plan.

You seem to think that just because there is a Republican president, there are no Democrats in Washington. They are the ones fighting to keep the money in Planned Parenthood. It's a system of checks and balances. You give a little, you get a little. Besides that, Planned Parenthood isn't just for performing abortions. I used to get my birth control pills there. They perform low cost exams for women who need them but can't afford a doctor's visit and lab work. They do counseling....and yes, some Planned Parenthood clinics perform abortions. I get so sick of everyone assuming that Planned Parenthood is all bad. And the "Bush Administration" is made up of both political parties.

You see the uproar on questions regarding abortion in Yahoo, just think if the government cut off this funding. Bush probably had to agree to this to get something he wanted passed, so he let the issue slide. Just like Clinton, Reagan, Carter, FDR, etc. This practice has been around since George Washington took the office.

Its called compromise.

You must be opposed to contraception, prenatal education, post natal care and sexual issues. Hey! Sex exists and Planned Parenthood is supported by most Americans. You don't want to be ignorant about sex, do you?

And before you scramble to endorse this question, take a gander at this quote from the link provided:

To vote for George Bush (or John Kerry) is to sin against God.

Gee... Only Ralph Nader?

I doubt Bush has any say in the matter.

I am Right and do not support murder...however....

I know that PP does more then murder babies. When I was young and in college they provided me with very low cost health care. They provide it to many women and the entire community benefits from it.

One question for you. Who handles the funds of the government, that is who designates where tax money is spent. The answer is that is the congresses job. The President has veto power and can recommend plans of action, but ultimatly it is the legislative branch that handles the money, not the Bush Administration.

Because presently, they are the only low cost option for uninisured women, to get prenatal care and birth control...I guess you didn't realize that MOST PP don't perform abortions, and the ones that do, provide a host of other services and always have

You'll post anything as long as it's against Bush. I'm not a fan of his but I've never seen you post one thing better than what he's done.

Because the money is well spent. Would you rather have a bunch of kids raised by parents who don't want them.
