Hi! you may try the sound source: www.soundblaster.com or go to www.download.com and get everything you want, the other good source is www.adobe.com you may need "adobe flash player" and you can get it from there.

the manufacturers web site usually has the new drivers for download.

The fact that it works initially and then fails is a bit of a problem. You might check device manager , or the admin logs to see if there is a problem logged for the sound card.

I would first update the drivers (check for all Microsoft updates here http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/update/bulletins/default.mspx if you simply use the built in sound - or check the manufacters website for installed sound cards)and possibly swap out the speakers to see if they're the culprit. I use ccleaner http://www.ccleaner.com/ to clean up my computer files (history, cookies, etc) and it also has the feature to scan for issues (orphaned dll files and such).

you should check the model number of your computer, then click onto the official websites of the brand of your computer, like acer, intel etc. then check sound-card download, check your computer model and download the related sound-card.
