There is really no way to avoid this (under your butt) if you are laying down for your tan. These creases are likely caused from the pressure from lying down. Oxygen is part of the tanning process in reality, so this area does not get the circulation it needs; hence untanned creases.
Standup tanning will avoid these creases. BUT they are more intense, so do use caution.
You will see from this link, http://www.goldentansalons.com/gallery/equipment/luxurasu.jpg an illustration of a standup, and will see why you can avoid those creases.

I lift my butt cheeks up before I lay down to avoid the crease and I use the stand up bed once a week to get the sides. You can also lay on your side in the bed though to get them

Lift up your buttocks when you are lying on your back before pressing your weight down on the tanning bed. On your sides and under the arms - lift your arms above your head for the last 5 minutes or so.

I try to lift my butt cheeks occasionally so I can tan under them, and sometimes I use self tanning lotion to even mine out. I try to hold my arms over my head sometimes in my tanning bed to avoid having lighter color skin there.
