i own a repair and restoration shop, and what ever you do don't let one of the cheaper shops paint it ,unless you want a real cheap job on it,a good paint job if done right the starting price of it would be around a 1000 bucks for a good one, because paint and supplies have went up a whole lot in the past year and a half,it would take around 6-700 bucks just for the supplies to paint that truck right ,i do this a lot ,but basically that's a good starting price on one and that's providing the body is in real good shape on it,good luck with it i hope this helps.

Some things to inspect prior to investing in a paint job:

Unless you haven't already replaced body panels.

1. Check front cab mounts for rust

2. Check Rear cab mounts. Over a period of time the rubber deteriorates & begin to sag.

3. Check the wheel lips & lower edges of the front fenders & box for bubbles.

With any luck you have a solid vehicle.
