While I would not vote for Sanjaya, I feel that I need to speak up on his behalf.
Most people across American seem to forget that Sanjaya is only 17 years old and it's NOT his fault, that he's quite apparently, winning out in the voting aspect of "American Idol".
Can you all imagine how you would feel if it were you up there and not Sanjaya? If I was his Mother, I would be very upset because here's her Son, the ridicule of "American Idol" and there's nothing that she can do about it. Even Simon needs to remember that Sanjaya is only 17 years old. "American Idol" is benefiting from this controversy at Sanjaya's expense, which I think is a disgrace.
I think that Sanjaya is most certainly out of his leauge, basically because of his age and singing skills. Perhaps in another three (3) years, he'll be more ready to be in a singing competition.
"American Idol" should take steps to stop this travesty by over-riding the vote if they do not feel that this person is actually being voted for because he/she is good. There currently is another voting show (for the next Sandy & Danny in Grease) and they have a clause that if the vote is unpopular on purpose, the Producers can over-ride it.

sanjaya sucks. Why anyone would vote for him i dont know- give hi until next week- unless someone else completely bombs- he'll get voted off- but then again all the little teenie boppers think he's "sooo cute" Gag me with a rubber spoon sideways!

I don't watch anymore...so of course I'm not involved in voting.
I just like watching in the beginning when they show the auditions because so many of the auditioners who think they can sing have me cracking up big time. From there I'm just interested in who go kicked off each week and I hear that on the local news here and last, I just want to know who wins.

nope not me voting for him. I personaly think the show is rigged. I wonder how many phone lines are open for each contestant. The same or more for 1 than the other.

no worries. i rarely tune in and i definately don't waste my time by voting. i have better things to do than listen to garbage. that guy is horrible.
