I don't know about traditional Irish, I just have fun with making lots of green foods on St. Patrick's day. Green jello, green salad, green peppers on a pizza with green pesto sauce...

Shepard's pie and corned beef aren't actually traditional Irish meals...
Shepard's pie originated in Great Britain and the corned beef tradition resulted from Irish immigrants (the traditional Irish meal is Bacon and Cabbage but the immigrants couldn't afford the expensive meat so substituted it for cheaper corned beef instead)

A true Irish meal would be an Irish stew served with boiled potatoes!

My husband and I are making the "corned beef & cabbage" meal tomorrow. I have never eaten it but my husband has and says it's great. We are both Irish and enjoy celebrating the holiday! ;)
