What should be the maximum used space in both (C:) drive and (D:)? Thank You so much!!!

Anything above 15% - 20% free space is good. That way you can still defrag well.

If both the C: and D: drive are on the same physical hard drive then the size of each drive is not important. Most desktop hard drives spin at 7200rpm these days and if you have the budget some Raptor hard drives spin at 10,000 or even 15,000rpm. These faster drives will let the computer run much faster. Also the higher the cache on the drive the faster it will run. Most drives have either 8mb or 16mb of onboard cache. Lastly, try defragmenting often to speed up your hard drive and our computer.

Actually having more space, or even defraging often will not really give you too much more speed. Your still restricted by the seeks on the hard drive. You would be better off adding more RAM. 1 gig is good, but 2 gig will be significant, specially with the newer Operating systems.
