Certs don't do a lot for you anymore, It's good that you have them cause they're hard tests. They will at least get you an interview. The thing is can you DO the job. Can you trouble shoot something you never ran in to before, can you document it, can you get along with others in your job. These are just as important as the certs, starting where I live you should expect 30K approx with little or no experience, just get you foot in the door somewhere and keep learning, take all the training you can get out of them too. In a few years you'll hit 50K+ if you're good

Depends on a couple of things really. What other experience do you have? What market are you trying to get into? What location are you looking at? Several salary sites exist to help you figure this out.

Personally, the certifications are not all that useful from my experience. At the various companies I have worked at, the companies don't seem to offer any preference for people with those certifications. The only exception is when a contract requires a certain number of certified employees. Generally candidates with those certifications don't have any greater skills over a person who has worked in the industry for a short period of time but they want a lot more pay. Experience over the certification seems to be the preferred candidate.

The salary/remuneration for a particular job is the market value for a particular profession and designation at the city/town where the office is located. Job postings at websites like Monster, Yahoo HotJobs and Careerbuilder carry information about salaries. The Govt Dept of Labor, (www.bls.gov) Bureau of statistics has information about median salaries for different professions and details of additional compensation offered. Other online resources are salary.com and payscale. Your salary will also depend on your educational qualification and how you handle your career.
