I'm a Liverpool fan but really admire his couching and man management skills. He always makes a good team on a shoestring budget and always gets the best out of his players. Why wasn't he in contention when the job became vacant?
Sorry for trying to stael your manager Pompey fans!

Him or Allardyce, Mclaren is an absolute moron who hasn't got a clue.

I have been in Harry's corner since that first year at West Ham. Most of Chelsea are Harry finds. The Hammers had some wonderful players during Harry's tenure there. I can only imagine what he could do with England. I wish Pool had taken him on. Look how he raised Pompey from the dead, and the players he's brought in for pennies. And he's such a character. Harry for England!

I like Harry but he's never gonna be England boss .... Same as Clough would never be appointed, Allardyce will never get the job, Curbishley will never get the job.
For some reason the FA just aren't interested in appointing managers of 'This Mould' - hard to explain but I think there's no chance of another English manager for at least 5 years, I just don't see anyone making waves who would suit the 'FA Way'

Sorry we ain't gonna let him go. He is a fantastic manager and of course an even better secret agent - would James Bond have been brave enough to go down the road to Scum on a secret mission to send them down? The man is a football God, he;s funny, intelligent and knows how to bring the best out of players - The FA have been mad to ignore him for so long - still the FA are mad full stop so why be surprised?

Its not a bad shout to be fair. I'd have preferred tham to get Scolari when they had the chance, but the media scuppered that one.
Redknapp's done well with pretty much every team he's had and he's done it on a shoestring budget, so he's definately better than boring Mclaren.

His credentials speak for themselves. He has certainly had a good career, and cannot do any worse than Steve McClaren. But of course what you should be asking is would Harry Rednapp want the England Job at the moment, when it`s in the state it is.

It would have been nice but he's not a 'yes' man, and that's what the FA want.
