Rachael Kohn: Well if Canberra is the most haunted city, Picton, one of the five Macquarie towns at the foot of the Blue Mountains, seems to be the most haunted town. Now that seemed to have a lot to do with a disused tunnel.

Tim the Yowie Man:Yes, that's right. It's the Redbank Range Tunnel there in Picton, a railway tunnel where a lady in the early part of last century was unfortunately killed by a train that came hurtling through that she didn't expect. Ever since then people that have ventured into the tunnel, because it's now disused, on Ghost Tours or just in exploring the area, have come across her ghost, including one instance where I actually was in the tunnel and I didn't actually see the ghost of this lady, but something or someone tapped me on the shoulder, and I looked around, and I kid you not, there was no-one there. The old building at Queen Victoria Memorial Hospital in Picton without a doubt! Buzzers are still going off even though they have been disconnected for years. Any nurse who has worked in that building has a story, from children crying and singing, to shadowy figures, foot steps, extreme cold sickening feelings in certain sections and the list goes on.
