Why do Americans not care how our media is covering the war? Does ANYONE care that we have been lied to and deceieved by our government in order for them to make us believe that this war is about our American Freedom when in actuality this war is about Oil, Money, Supperior Power and suppressing the very freedoms (freedom of speech and press) that they so call say that they are preserving in the name of Democracy? We are lucky to be Americans, don't get me wrong, only by what our founding fathers have established. But if our government continues on the road it is on, mark my words, we will slowly but surely see our rights and freedoms (of speech and press mostly) silenced. It is already happening. Wake up! If you want to get the facts the way Free Americans should be getting the facts then tune into Free Speech TV on dish or go to I believe www.fstv.org and see for yourself. I pray for all Americans, and innocent Iraqi people each day. Together we stand, divided we will fall..

It's called propaganda my Dear, Our government only tells us what they want us to believe, not what is true. The sad part is, most of us know it but do nothing about it. Try reading some under ground Press, It can be more enlightening, but again, one has to sift through the facts as in any news.....

It worries me, more than I can relate here, but they are fully owned subsidiaries of large corporations who have a vested interest in war, they make huge profits from it so they may criticsie how it is fought, but never mention much why it was fought.
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

You won't be saying that when gas prices go up to 10 bucks a gallon. People everywhere will be broke and out of jobs like the depression in the 40's. Plus the media doesn't belong in the war they make things worse

all the "corporate Media" reports about the war is how bad it is going, how innocent people are dying, and how it is all our fault.
they never report anything about the hospitals and schools and infrastructure that we've built and re-built - THAT is the true travesty of the media involvement in Iraq.
... and i don't even support the premises for this war - i just would like to see the troops on the ground who are busting their butts to help the Iraqi people get a little credit.

The question, to my mind, should be "Why doesn't it bother Americans that so many are fooled into believing that the news is unbaised?" And while we're at it, "Why doesn't it bother Americans that blind patriotism prevails in the Greatest Nation in the World?"
The issue about why the US is at war is a separate one...and very partisan.

Hey! It bothers the Hell out of me, but there's not a damn thing I can do about it, not as long as a majority of ignorant Americans are willing to vote for an insane President who imagines God has placed him in office so he can prosecute his immoral crusades against all things non-Christian. When will the stupid Bible-thumpers realize that creating a prosperous and healthy future for America's next generations is far more important that grovelling before an ancient imaginary deity. Wake up, Idiots! Life is played for keeps!

They are comfortable with their own little complacent world and want to be able to criticize. As long as they can go to work, run to Wal Mart and go home and watch the lying media they are content. Their philosophy is Why care when it doesn't effect me personally.
