Right now, I'd have to say the best passer/playmaker in the NBA is the two time MVP, Steve Nash.

Nash is currently averaging 11.7 assists per game, as compared to 9.1 for Kidd. And as a bonus, Nash is averaging 19.2 points per game while shooting 52.9% from the floor, while Kidd is averaging only 13.3 points per game and shooting 41.7% from the floor.

Nash looks to win his third straight NBA MVP... unless it goes to Dirk Nowitzki.

Steve Nash. Kidd is good but Nash seems to make passes that just make you sit back a say "How did he get that in there". So right now I would definitely say Steve Nash.

Steve NAsh is the best passer now,you see him pass behind the back and make some ridicoulous passes. When he makes a good pass you hear the crowd go OH! or AH!.He sees the plays beforem they actually happen and is becuase he played soccer.

Currently would be Steve Nash. Without him, the Suns wont be able to play their run and gun game

W/O a doubt it is Nash. Kidd is second. Deron Williams and Chris Paul are deadlocked for 3rd.

I am Canadian.
I loved J-Kidd because he guided them to 2 finals.
Steve Nash is probably(because he is canadian) and the fact that when he was out, the suns lost to the HAWKS, the HAWKS for god's sake
