If the spouse is earner she can easily take the policy for her husband as she has the insurable interest and have the capacity to pay.

Try AARP. They will be happy to sell you one at twice the price of any insurance company, and will send you the rat poison to kill him and collect.

Go to an agent and buy one.
Insurance is protection you buy to insure you have the money to replace his income if he dies.
