Is news media more prevalent or has the medium in which it comes to us changed?

By our ancestors I mean those 100+ years ago.

From telling about an event from person to person to technology that allows millions to know at the same time?? I guess I'd have to take a big leap and say YES..the news media is far more prevalent now than 100 years ago.

World leaders got by with murder literally. But today the news tells us everything about the men who are imperfect.
Even more than we want to know.
I think that if a man can't keep a family together and be faithful to a wife, we should question his ethics in other things.
Would he be a corrupt official that would take a bribe?
Can he be trusted to handle important matters?

not at all. the internet, television, and radio have been around for thousands of years. people are just more nosy now. something to do with forced vaccinations i'm sure.
