Should be interesting, and I suspect Barbara Walters will be polite but ask the questions that need to be asked. I don't mind President Chavez calling President Bush a "devil" or "donkey," but I hope she grills him about calling our Secretary of State "an illiterate who suffers from sexual frustration." He may think it's funny, but that's no way for a head of state to conduct himself. He thinks he can get away with it because we need his country's oil, and to a degree he's right. We should have been seriously exploring alternative energies twenty-five years ago so we wouldn't be so beholden to the Middle East.

I find it especially amusing that Chavez thinks the American people would elect him president if he were able to run in our 2008 presidential election. Um, I don't think so.

The better question would be, why is Chavez willing to be interviewed by Barbara?? I think it's his way of continuing to usurp the Bush government by trying to talk directly to the people...however as much as Bush is an idiot in taking care of our country...so is Chavez, who has not thought about his people either.

Good for her landing this interview.

You are right - if she throws him puffball questions, I would lose a lot of respect for her as a journalist.

While this clown of a leader is not on my "friend" list, I welcome the opportunity to hear what bozo-Hugo has to say (assuming it will be anything but anti-American rhetoric).

We should all listen and learn what other people are saying about our country before we try to pass judgment on them.
It is the intelligent thing to do.

I think one of the many questions she should ask would be, "How do feel about distributing blue chip stamps?" Another would be, "Would you agree to a contest between you and president Bush in a kite flying adventure"?

When she interviewed Castro, many years ago, her most shocking question was;
What's your favorite color?
I would think it would be informative but so many Faux News listeners have already been told what to think.
