I had a lot of work to do and I cannot finish it during workdays because I lack motivation.
I ussually promise to myself to do it on weekends.
But on sat/sun I do nothing and come back to office depressed because the weekend is gone I still had a lot to do.

Your question shouldn't be 'should i continue' - instead it should be 'should I start'.

It can be hard to get started when you have a lot to do - I tend to put things off until they are close to deadline(then again when I do get going, I don't stop until I'm done).

What I've found works for me, is I write down a list of things I need to do - and in the upper right hand corner I write 'NO!' really big (meaning no screwing around on yahoo! answers, or any other sites). I break down the big jobs into several small tasks, and check each one off as I do it.

I don't know what kind of work you do - I work in an electrical engineering office, and there are times when it is slow, and I can goof off a bit, and then there are times when it is slammed, and everyone comes screaming for everything at once. I have found that wasting my time trying to get ahead is useless - since architects always change their designs twenty times before they are done, so I actually save a lot of work by doing stuff at the last minute (of course you don't have as much time to doublecheck yourself).

Knowing you will be coming back into a bunch of work on monday will ruin your weekend, rather than waste your weekend worrying (or working), make a list, and bust it out. Take regular breaks to stretch - don't eat a lot of heavy food to keep from getting overly tired.

Good planning can keep you from wasting time, work smart - not hard!!

Do not focus on the problems you are going through at work. Try to do all that is possible during the week, so that you can actually relax during the weekend and you won't have to be depressed on Monday because your work was not done.
