If I were more accepting of pain I would not bore you with all the little details of where and how much I hurt .Or of what kind of hurt I have. When you ask "How are you?"

If I were more accepting of my pain, I would never search for excuses to escape into forgetful happiness.
I think honesty is the salt of sane existance. When we deny the fact that we are in pain, the pain does not ease. All that happens is that we benumb ourselves to our real state of affairs, and deny our way to satisfactions or pursuits that will keep us in that forgetful state. This situation is the one where most of the fake gifts of life exist, like fake happiness, fake pleasure, fake satisfaction, fake sense of self. Instead, if we accept our pain, we immediately open the door to it being healed by our awareness of the state. When pain feels painful, and we can witness it as that, we naturally gravitate towards positive emotions like peace, happiness etc. And this is a conscious choosing of happiness over sadness or pain.

If I were more accepting of my pain
... I wouldn't have asked for permission to kill my older sister.
... my tears would turn into (laughter / a smile.)
... the (sun / daylight / life) would shine once again with every breath I take.
... would your be arms wide open?
... could I have a place in your heart?
... Would you accept me for who I am?

I would be more aware and in control. I would also think of myself in a whole new light and focus on the things that need to be focused on instead of all the other things.
