Some children have problems with phonics especially digraphs. Whole words approach is not the best too. So what is the best way to teach reading?

One of the things we are doing campus-wide is literacy workstations. This allows students to work on individual practice while the teacher works with leveled groups or individual students.
Check out:
Practice With Purpose, Literacy Work Stations
both books by Debbie Diller. And be sure to look up Words Their Way, another great resource.

http://www.stenhouse.com/pdfs/0353ch01.pdf (This gives you the comparison between traditional learning centers and literacy work stations.)

What's interesting is that I teach a gifted class and this allows me to implement differentiated instruction at an even higher level. Being that this is my 11th year of teaching, this has been a breath of fresh air and had increased my effectiveness dramatically.

Best of luck,
Mon :-)

It's possible to pay lots of time and income looking for ways to train your children how to read and boost their reading skills. Is hard to show a small child how to see, and even enticing them to read is a challenge in itself. However it does not have to be this way because you got the help of this program https://tr.im/CcKOJ , Children Learning Reading program.
With Children Learning Reading you will train your son or daughter how to separate sounds and break words into phonemes, an important issue whenever your kid is merely learning how to spell.
The reading system from Children Learning Reading program allows you for children to see rapidly and precisely, from simple words to sentences till they learn to learn stories.

We use guided reading with different leveled texts. Seems to be working for us.
