Every time i make a suggestion/comment about something she comes back with either a straight NO or with a reason as to why i am wrong. Sometimes I feel like we are getting on but other times I feel like she is putting me down and i dont know what to do. Confrontation is not an option as she is the 'Social Butterfly' of our work place which consists of a lot of lads who fancy her and a lot of people who like her in general. I feel like a Z List friend if you know what i mean.

Stand up for yourself.
Simply challenge her... for example:
"You seem to have this disposition of automatically oposing anything I say.... is this because you have something against me?"
I'd be surprised if that doesn't shut her up and you haven't insulted her because the suggestion is you are at fault. Albeit a covert attack on her personality - welcome to your first lesson on Bitchiness.

Definitely not a friend. Sounds like the people who like her dont really know her that well. Probably once you get to know her, you see what a fake she is and stay the hell away. If it is your car, she is only using you for a ride. Kick her out and let her take the bus, train, balloon or whatever transit is available.

She sounds like a user, making you the usee. Just distance yourself, emotionally if nothing else. No need to rock the boat, just let her move on & about.

No, she's not a friend. She's just using you so that she can feel superior. I'd quit car sharing with her. Why feed that kind of ego?
