There are people who "get rich quick" every day. The trick is to discover something that fills a need or entertains a want. What has worked for me is this - create a website about something that you know a lot about. Then you can make money by running ads on the site. List all of your skills and talents and work out which of them could be a cash raising opportunity.
Think seasonally, as opportunities change by time of year.
Think locally for your lowest cost of getting some work too.
Be flexible on which job you will start with, as you are likely to be more attractive to employers if you have a recent track record. Consider jobs that wouldn't be your long term 'profession', just using it to get some money.
Finally, clear debts as quickly as you can, as these will cost much much more to pay back. (If you have any debts!)
Get your cv prepared and sign-up to a few of the online job-seeking sites.
Visit houses offering to clean cars for people, a few pounds a time, just take a bucket and some cleaning products - walk around your local streets and keep your security in mind - don't go into strangers houses, if you're unsure. A happy smiling face is likely to get a car an hour, easily, in most areas.

Go around to houses that are being built and steal the copper pipes. Sell that for a pretty penny.
