I have been reading a magazine article about couples who take viagra together. Not because the husband needs it though, purely for recreational use.

I was thinking of trying it out with my fiance just for a bit of fun as the women in the article were saying how fantastic it made them feel too (8 orgasms in one session?). But my friends husband who works as a pharmacist says that it wont actually do anything for the woman.

So I was looking if anyone has any advice?

Viagra does effect women, to a lesser extent. There are many side effects caused by Viagra as well, including the common side effects (like cough, headaches) and the rare ones (like sudden death, strokes and heart attacks) that have happened multiple times before.

The closest thing to a female version of viagra right now would be Diva. I'll include the link for your reference.

Women will receive no effect sexually from Viagra. It is a physiological impossibility. Viagra increases the amount of Nitric oxide, a hormone needed for erections. A woman's sexual cycle does not use that hormone.

I've taken Viagra, and all it did for me was make me feel really sick sadly! But I do know women who have taken it and had an awesome time! I guess you don't know until you try!

It is not unsafe, and it has been done, though it has no licence. It was used in a study to increase uterine blood flow in IVF treatment. It was also found in a small study of depressed women on SSRIs to reverse sexual dysfunction. Pfizer is currently conducting clinical trials of Viagra in women in a more general study to look at its effects on female sexual dysfunction.
