You could brush up on grammar, but I think I get your question :) ...States tried to leave the "union" before...it was called the civil war. The North one, and we are still one country.

It is highly unlikely that any states would want to leave the Union...because the Federal Government takes care of so many things. Also, patriotism is still pretty high right now, even if there is an unpopular war. I think most people in America have a strong sense of being "American" before they are a Kentuckyan, or a Californian.

Also, the US probably wouldn't LET a state leave the union, even if they wanted to. The national army is bigger than any state army.

But, if a state did somehow find a way to leave the union, yes, it would weaken US might by a certain amount, depending on the state that left.

No you can't "vote" out right now. You'd have to do it by force, unless something drastic happens in legislation.

The U.S. Constitution does not make any provisions for states seceding from the union. The last attempt by several states to withdraw ended badly (in the United States Civil War).

Only 1 state can do that and that is Texas.
After the Civil War they kind of rewrote the laws such that it couldn't happen again.

Right now we do have our differences but not to the piont of break up.

You have heard of the Civil War,right?

I think it was pretty much established that the Federal Government isn't about to allow secession.
