50 Cent has a pretty decent flow and dancable tracks but his lyrical content is wack. Nelly sounds good for the type of rap that he does but I can't consider him a good rapper because there's no versatility to his rap style. So, they both suck as rappers.
They both have great bodies. 50's face looks a little beat-up. Nelly's teeth looks like.. well, let's not insult anyone. They both have positives and negatives as performers so it comes down to public persona. 50 cent tries to represent a hustler from the street when he should have enough money to never have to resort to 'the street life' again. That's not considered keeping it real, to me. Nelly isn't out in the street and he doesn't carry himself as if he is. So, I have to give to Nelly. He keeps it more real than 50 cent.

50 cent is a fraud. anyone would have had a hit with "in da club" beat behind them. dre was fully responsible for 50's success. notice his 2nd alblum sucked because dre wasn't involved. Candy shop was a reworking of the club beat. it failed.
now nelly has great talent and a unique voice. He has also tapped in to something the rest of the rappers have forgotten existed. Party rap. It will always sell because its fun. think along the lines of MC Hammer, fresh prince, digital underground even some eminem. if it makes you smile or feel good it sells. some might pipe up and say "weak" but bare in mind they all or were millionaires at one point or another.
