Has anyone seen that new Kleenex ad where the lady is telling the story of her wedding, and how she was trying to not cry because she did not want to ruin her makeup? So, she explains that she was walking towards her future husband thinking "dead puppies, dead puppies." What kind of sicko thinks about "dead puppies" to prevent crying?

I believe Kleenex products are made by the Kimberly Clark Co. right here in my neighborhood (Neenah, Wisconsin), and now I think I see why they have had to shut down plants and lay-off tons of employees over the last few years. Perhaps their marketing executives should think through these ads a little bit more before they put them on TV.

Now I have heard about thinking of dead puppies to prevent sexual arousal... but to prevent crying? Shouldn't she have been thinking about flowers and sunshine or something? Sick? Do you agree???

That is very sick. I haven't seen the ad yet, but why would someone want to think of dead puppies at a wedding, or anywhere for that matter? They need to check up on what they're about to let the public hear before releasing those commercials. Now I hope people don't use that idea when THEY'RE about to cry somewhere. It is just wrong.

Haven't seen the commercial but wouldn't any creature dead make you cry? Maybe you should email Kimberly Clark and find out what advertising agency they are using and perhaps suggest someone needs a reality check.

Actually the phrase "dead puppies" reminds me of a song that was played on the Dr. Demento radio show. That would certainly keep me from crying, except perhaps from laughter. It's a pathetically funny song you know.
