Did anyone else think 300 failed to meet the expectations of all the hype? It was a good movie, but definitely not worthy of comparison to Gladiator.

i'm not saying that the movie was supposed to look like gladiator, but i think the fight scenes should have been better. they were great, dont get me wrong, but i was expecting more since its aim is to be epic.

I thought it was a failing movie. I think that a movie with EVERY single minute behind a green screen is just too unreal. I think it was to unrealistic, like it never happend. Like its just a moving painting er something. i give it 1 star.

I don't think it's fair to compare 300 to any movie, because there's really nothing out there like it. That being said, I like it a lot more than Gladiator...heck, I can't even stay awake to watch Gladiator the whole way through because parts of it are just so boring. i can't wait til I get out of work, I'm going to see 300 again.

It was not supposed to be the next Gladiator. They are different movies. 300 was wonderful. It was well done and visually amazing. You should enjoy it on it's own merits, not compare it to an Oscar winning movie.

I thought it was much better than Gladiator. It totally exceeded my expectations. The fighting scenes were crisp and had great angles. The action was sensational. The scenery was overwhelming. It's one of the best action/war movies of all times.

I just saw this movie last night and it was nothing like Gladiator...in a sense that they really didn't have much in comparison. I loved 300, it's one of the best movies I've seen in quite awhile. anyone who read this and hasn't seen it...GO SEE THE MOVIE!

NO 300 is not a good movie, i think....it is a silly movie.
Iran can introduce to world by cyrus the great. and films like this can not terminate glorious persian history.
