The theory is that female sperm swim slower but are longer lived and male sperm is faster but shorter lived. If you have intercourse in the presence of fertile cervical fluid no more than a couple of days before ovualtion, you're more likely to conceive a girl. If you have intercourse no earlier than the day before or of ovulation, you're more likely to conceive a boy. For us, anyways, it worked out that way w/o any planning.

If you would like to use this method for increasing your chances of one gender (nothings100% of course) over the other, you would benefit more if you learned to chart your fertility signs. That way you could better time intercourse and increase the chances of pregnancy at all.
