I forgive but I usually don't forget. In forgiving it is to no longer hold it against another for what they have done. Sometimes when you try hard to forget something memories that you wanted to remember can get caught up in that, you can loose some of your joy that way.

Forgive but don't forget. It's the healthiest. Learn from the past but move forward. Occasional slights aren't worth the effort or the end of a relationship. What you want to avoid, is repetitive patterns of bad behavior. Only you can decide when someone is unhealthy for you.
