I take the Equate brand (Wal-Mart, <$4). They are comparable to Women's One-A-Day and have the same ingredients. I've taken different kinds in the past, these work just as well as the others (for me). I also take Viactiv b/c I do not consume enough calcium.

It depends how young. I feel that if you eat a balanced diet you don't need a multivitamin. I can't take vitamins because they make me sick so I just eat healthy. Some people also think that if they take a vitamin they can eat lots more crap. Any vitamin should work. Even a store brand. You can always ask a pharmacist about any over the counter vitamins you are buying.
