Since every domistic program our federal government has run has been grossly ineffcient, expensive inept or always on the verge of collaspe form SS , Medicare, Presciption Drugs, what has create a belief system in you that makes you believe that Universal health care won't be ineffcient, inept expensive, or on the verge of collaspe after instituted.

To Anthony social security is ineffcient and I will list them.
1. The average death rate for the African American male is 63 that means they are contributing to a system that they get no benifit from.
2. Each citezen would recieve a lot more retirement money if a portion of it could have been invested like what happen in Galasten Texas some recieved as much as 3 times what SS would have paid them.
3. SS is a scam if you work for 40 years and the day after you retire you drop dead the government keeps all your contribution at least if you could invest a portion you could will that on to your heirs.
I could go on but rumante on those facts.

People are ignorant.

I agree
except you say that if you drop dead the government keeps the money. They had that money spent the day you paid into it.
The money you get if you don't drop dead is the money people who are currently working are contributing.
Many are scared of trying the alternative investment that Bush suggested because they worry what if they pay into a bad investment but what I heard it is better than the 401 k plans and you can live easily off it and pass it to on as your inheritance.

I do not know why everybody wants Canada's health plan.
They say Canadians die before they get critical health care and the rich ones come to America if it is a matter of life and death. I think medicare is the better choice of the two until someone comes up with an ideal plan.

I agree with you, Universal Healthcare is a mistake waiting to happen.

Medicare and Medicade are not efficient, those programs are wrought with fraud. Don't you people watch the news?

Social Security is a joke. It is getting at the most a 1% rate of return. A monkey can do a better job of investing this money and getting a better return rate than what Social Security does. If you think that there is a trust fund, you are on drugs. The money goes to the general treasury and it is spent by our politicians. So there are no investments. Just IOU's.

Liberals amaze me because they are clueless when it comes to the facts about things. This stuff is all over the internet.

the reality - that it is anecdotal, some wait longer and a few no longer. which you wait plenty longer interior the US in case you haven't any longer have been given any money and no coverage. yet maximum obligatory, that it extremely is shameful whilst people say that using fact there are faults in different structures the US won't be able to in all probability decide a thank you to furnish well-being care right here. What an argument for losers! With that concepts-set, we does no longer have an area software, or an motor vehicle marketplace, or the different success the place people moved forward to end some thing whilst others stated they might no longer do it.

I don't have a problem with a program that offers affordable coverage to people who do not have it now AND want to buy it.

However, I do have a problem with:

1 - A government monopoly healthcare program (eliminating private insurers and hence, competition)

2 - Any program which effectively is an additional income tax and/or 'forces' people to pay for the coverage, even if they don't want it.

Lots of the so-called 'uninsured' opt out of the coverage.

I'll keep my private insurance thank you. I sacrifice other luxuries so that I can afford it . They should photograph every person that goes into a casino for gambling and lock them up if they complain about health care!

We don't need universal health care. We do need some kind of control on current costs, but on the same note we can not afford to choke research.

Medicare is a very good program, and a lot cheaper to run than private health insurance. The drug benefit plan has helped millions of people.

Medicare is one of the most efficient programs in the Government.

Only 5% of the cost is for administration of the program....private health insurance has a 20% cost. DO THE MATH!

Social Security is also very reliable and efficient, ask any Senior that is dependent on it. It's not perfect....but better than the alternative.
