Requiem was an awesome movie, and if I ever have kids, I'm making them watch that to keep them off drugs, lol. but the ending scene where all four of their lives start circling the drain is so depressing.
However, one movie sticks out in my mind as the worst: A.I. (Artificial Intelligence), starring Haley Joel Osment. I'm sorry, but at the end where he's under water for thousands of years and aliens find him... what was that movie even about?! what's the lesson we're supposed to learn from this?! Honestly, Steven Spielburg's worst film to date...

"Hearty Paws." It's a Korean movie. The cover (no Enlgish description) looked like it would be a nice, happy family movie. It had a little girl and an older boy with a golden labrador retriever. The back showed playful, cheery scenes. But what happened....?! Not only does the little girl drown, but the dog dies too. Now it's not unusual for someone to be dying or die in a Korean movie, but to kill off a child and a dog....that's hardcore when it's not a horror movie.

Requiem for a Dream
all horror slasher movies
Total Eclipse ( with Dicaprio about Arthur Rambaud)
Million Dollar Baby
Midnight Cowboy
Blue Velvet
Natural Born Killers
all films about so called 'losers' on losing streaks who are just determined keep on losing and who no one can seem to help or change the course they are on or films focused on glorifying the dark underbelly of life at the bottom.

Meg Ryan moive City of Angels
Left me very depressed
Seth, an angel watching over Los Angeles, begins finding his job difficult as he falls in love with Maggie, a beautiful heart surgeon. She becomes interested in Seth, and soon his not-quite-mortal state seems a barrier rather than a gift. A choice must be made between celestial duty and earthly love.
Angels are among us and when we feel an invisible presence, you better believe they are watching you. For a Los Angeles heart surgeon named Maggie, that is too much of a stretch. She believes that it is her job to save the lifes of her patients and when she meets Seth after visiting hours are over, he tells her it's simply just their time to go. She becomes intrigued by his presence and opinion. Seth is not just normal, he is an Angel. He meets Messinger while visiting patients. Messinger can see him because he was once a Angel but gave his power up to become human. This makes Seth want to become human so he can feel, smell, and love Maggie.

Message in a Bottle is a sad one. You can feel the great love and remorse of the husband whose wife just passed away. lt was really touched.
The Constant Gardener is also sad. The unsolved death of his wife even if they were reunited in the end and the dire poverty in Africa can give anyone a depressed feeling after watching.
