Probably the same way in which you tell if a Republican is lying. If you find a foolproof way to distinguish lies from truth, please enlighten the rest of us. It would surely save everyone quite a bit of aggravation.
People can give me all the thumbs down they want, but deep down everyone knows that people on both sides of the aisle lie, some are just better at it than others.

The same way you can tell how any politician (regardless of party affiliation) is lying, they shake your hand, look you in the eye and tell you what you want to hear.
