I'm 21 and within the past week I feel an indentation, no more than an inch or so around, when I feel this part of my breast. It's not very deep but its noticable and today I noticed it's slightly colored, but it could be because Ive been touching it so much. And my right armpit by the breast is sore..

I have been drinking a lot of caffeine lately and I know Im young, and my family does not have a history of breast cancer.

But should I call my doctor to get an exam? I was there a week ago on something unrelated. I wouldnt even know how to ask them. And Im scared. :(

chances are good that this is normal breast tissue you are feeling...your breast is made up of fat and has natural dips in it, you also have the full ability to nurse a child, so there again by nature you don't have this perfect surface...quit touching it..wait a week or so, your underarm may just be sore from all the lifting and poking around on the indentation! Or you may have the beginning of a clogged pore/ infected hair follicle under your arm..don't mess with it for a week or two, if your underarm is still bothering you, and the indentation gets large (again don't feel it for at least one week!!) tell your doc that you are scared!! Believe me they hear everything, you will not be the first to go in with this type problem!!

Yes I would call the Dr with any change I felt in my breast. It is better to be safe then sorry. It could have something to do with the caffeine but I would get it checked out.

You should go to the doctors and get checked out. Caffeine can cause lumpiness may be this is what your feeling the indentations between the lumps. Best to get checked out!!

you dont ask them anything when it comes to your health. you pay them for a service that they provide. in essence they work for you. with that out of the way, you really need to call. this sounds serious and i am worried about you. your age dont have anything to do with it. i lost a friend to breast cancer in her twenties. she was small breasted and the doctors thought because she was young with no history that is was "nothing". now she is dead. not having breast cancer in your family history doesnt matter. call and tell them you need to be seen. when you get there. if they wont do a scan, tell them you want a scan to make you feel better. if they wont do it and say its not necessary, you go somewhere else. please dont wait, these things can happen very fast and get out of control very fast. do the right thing for your health and peace of mind. call your doctor now and dont wait for weeks to be seen even if you have to go to the emergency room. at least you will be there and get the scans you need without waiting months you may not have or months that could save your life. good luck and post back up here and let us know what happens with this. hugs and more hugs to you from me.
