In your research have you defined "lesbian"? If so, I would hope that you can deduce which bathroom a lady would use.

They must use the women's restroom, they are women after all. And they are mostly private, you don't see anything typically. The real quandry is in locker rooms where women get undressed and possibly take showers. If they allow lesbians, who view other women as sexually attractive, why then seperate men and women? But can you truly make a third locker room for gays and lesbians? this would only work if 1 homosexual male and 1 homosexual female used it at a time. I know my wife doesn't want me to be seeing anyone I find sexually attractive in the buff, and she doesn't want me being seen in the buff by someone who would find me sexually attractive.
As homosexuality becomes more accepted and prevalant places like schools and helth clubs need to ponder this question.

The restrooms in gay clubs in South Africa frustrate me to no end!! The ladies' room is ALWAYS full of men, women, and drags. The mens' rooms generally have only one or two toilets, and then a wall of urinals - that us girls can't use!! So lesbians not going into the mens' rooms is not a discrimination thing, it's a practical thing. In my country at least. You're welcome to IM me if you want more detail or whatever.

Sexuality has nothing to do with gender expression. A female-identifying lesbian will have no problem using a female restroom, and unless they're having sex in there, no one will really know. The real issues have to do with non-standard gender expression and the lack of bathrooms for people who are uncomfortable identifying as 100% male or female

In general, since lesbians ARE women, they use the women's rooms. I personally have never encountered any discrimination in the women's room. My partner has been asked if she is sure she is in the right room, and once she points out that she is a woman no one cares.
Occasionally women who question their gender, or who just like to dress as men and act as men will use the men's room. At that time they consider themselves men, not women, and it fits that they use the men's room.

Well, I'm les and pre-op trans, so I often use the men's restroom. I present/live as female 24/7, but my sexual orientation does influence my decision. If I was straight, I probably would use the women's restroom more often than I do right now.

The only restroom they should use is the women's restroom, your sexual orientation has nothing to do with your gender identity. Lesbians are women who like women, and since they are women using the women's bathroom makes since. I can't think of a logicial argument for them to use the men's room.

They would use the women's restroom. I'm not sure I would like a guy come into the restroom I'm using just because he is gay.
