My wedding dress has a bit of silver threading on it, but I don't think it's very prominent at all. I didn't even notice the silver threading until after I was in love with the dress. (This is the dress http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridal_gowns_detail.jsp?stid=2026&prodgroup=10 )

I'm more of a gold person than a silver person. I don't want to wear screaming gold jewelry. It would be subtle. I am also thinking of wearing gold shoes.

What do you think? Can I pull it off, or would I look completely mismatched? Would anyone even notice?

What if I wore pearls set in gold fixings? Pearls would be the main thing.

As someone already said, you can wear what you want, and everyone will tell you how beautiful you look, BUT, when you get those wedding pictures back, you see the truth:) (personal experience) The pictures say it all, and you don't want to look at your pictures with the thought "I shouldn't have worn that".

Honestly, I think your dress is beautiful, but I can not see gold jewelry complimenting the dress. The dress has silver thread and pearl accents, so I think you jewelry should be silver or pearls.

If you really don't care for silver or pearls, another option is clear swarovski crystals. They go with anything and they are beautiful!

Oh, and one more thing. If you decide to go with gold anyway, if you are wearing a tiara, make sure it's gold. Don't wear a silver tiara with gold jewelry:)

Good Luck!

Wow! Thats a beautiful wedding gown! I think gold jewelry may not look good with that wonderful dress.White and Gold usually doesn't go well together, you see.But if you really insist on wearing gold, you can try white gold jewelry.Well,i know, its looks like silver but its a lot better than silver.
White gold jewelry can really compliment those silver embroidery on that dress!

Are you sure that you are going to wear gold shoes?
White shoes with some nice shiny beadwork or pearls will be good. You can wear silver shoes also!

My very best wishes for your wedding !
Happy married life!

What a beautiful dress! I really don't have any answers but I don't see why you
can't wear gold jewelry as long as it is subtle. Gold shoes might shout over
your lovely dress. Can you try the dress with several kinds of shoes to see what
works? Or take a picture when you are going shoe shopping. Good luck on your
special day. You will look lovely. The only person who really matters is your
groom!

Your gown is gorgeous ... Congratulations!!!!!!!

I would suggest wearing silver with your dress because it is going to bring out the silver threading and draw more attention to the dress. !!! Which you want everyone to have their eyes on you :-)!!! So yes everyone is going to notice because you are were their eyes are going to be ficisated. Silver and Pearls would look GREAT with this dress. But I would highly recommed that you not wear any GOLD jewelry except of course the ring that is placed on your finger. As far as the gold shoes .... white or silver would be a better choice.

Hope this helps.

That's a beautiful dress, congrats! I think you can get away with the gold jewelry, as long as it is as you say subtle. However, I would definately stay away from gold shoes. I think they would be more prominent and eye catching and take away from the gorgeous dress you picked out. Go with white "satiny" pumps. If you want comfort, I don't know what they have as far as really dressy shoes, but I love ALDO and STEVE MADDEN. I live in heels and can wear them comfortably all day at work and I'm constantly on my feet.

Congratulations... your big day is close by.. I don't think i'm late... your dress is superb.. it is fine with what ever silver and pearl mix...but friend avoid gold ... I'm advicing you not to blend it with even a dot of gold... it will mess your whole outlook.. the photographs... that will stand for years and years... but if you really think that you need to wear gold.. select a special day for both of you to think back and be happy... make it a point to wear gold and ivory dress that would be lovely.. but frot the dainty dress you have selected .. i prefer silver work and pearls dress with silver /white. transparent +white/transperent+silver shoes....Cheers!!Happy wedded life!!

I don't think gold would be a good thing to wear...silver would look better, since silver stands out about the dress.

only your wedding ring! don't dress yourself up like a x-mas tree! you could wear some pearl necklace and matching earring but gold...it just seems to spoil the whole pure picture of a bride.
my suggestion...drop the gold!
as for the cold shoes they should be faintly gold looking at the most but mostly silverish!
PS great dress and if you look like the model as well ;) your future husband is a lucky man ;) CONGRATS AND BEST WISHES

What a lovely dress, i can see why you fell in love with it, i can see the silver and gold in a small amount would go as for the shoes no one is going to see them, if the dress is as full length as it looks. My wedding dress was full length and underneath i wore my dorothy shoes, bright red sparkly shoes and it was only my mum and myself who knew !
People do get too stressed with the whole, it has to match and be perfect, but it is your day and as long as you and you h2b are happy then go with it !

I think you'd be fine with some gold accents but lay off the gold shoes. Get white shoes, and don't spend a lot on them since they will hardly get noticed and you'll end up taking them off at the reception anyway.
