Some guys like booty play. More would if they would get over the homophobia and try it. My wife and I both have our toys. The male prostate is VERY sensitive, similar to a woman's G-spot. When stimulated with a toy or a finger or whatever, the orgasms are incredibly intense.
We have also played dress up. When I wear her lingerie she knows I want her to take a more aggressive role and be dominant in our love making.
Talk to him. Don't ask him if he's gay. He's probably exploring different aspects of his sexuality. Find out what he's looking for and what he wants to try. As long as a third party isn't involved, play along. Remember, you need to keep things lively in the bedroom. If you're uncomfortable, tell him. Talk to each other and work with each other. But don't be afraid of 'taboos'. No one has to know what goes in your bedroom except you.

The part about you not seeing him check out other women could be a case of him not wanting to get yelled at. However,
sounds like Paris is Burning! Wearing your panties? Using a sex toy designed for a woman? Sounds VERY strange!
Another good sign would be if he bought you a strap-on and wanted you to use it on him! I was think that would leave no doubt that he's a butt-hole surfer.

... interesting. I say ask him. If you want to know what he's thinking then ask him. I know you're afraid to, because you are afraid of knowing. But the not knowing is causing you a little stress, I'm sure. If he isn't, then ... shew! You two can laugh about it, and enjoy his "wildness." If he is, then at least you know, and the two of you can get into counseling and work on this (maybe he could live with bisexual that only sleeps with his wife, but does the crazy other things. Plus you can play the male role some for him).
I say ask, learn, re-figure, adjust, and love really hard!!

He might not be gay or bi, but be a cross-dresser with a low sex drive.
4 signs a guy might be gay, subtle ones. He seems to be flirtatious when conversing with men. He is especially interested in the way other men dress. His eyes follow men as they walk across a space. He makes direct, prolonged eye contact with men while conversing. Straight men do not make prolonged eye contact with other men, but they do with women.
Think it over.

I would say not gay - he just sounds a little kinky to me. Sounds like he wants to spice things up in the bedroom. It's fine that he doesn't check out other women - that just means he respects you - not ALL men leer at other women.

I know many men who are afraid to confront their own feelings and accept that they are gay. I think that is BS that he is wearing your panties and using your toys, sooner or later is will be coming out of the closet, it up to you if you want to stay with him or not... I wouldn't.

Sounds like a possible mid-life thing. If everything else in your marriage is good, why look for something? Seriously...

confront him.maybe I should say ask him maybe he likes those things but maybe he'd like them with you.To each his own.If these things turn you off then there will be a problem but right now I'd say if you have to ask then it's probably true.

He maybe isn't gay, but is struggling with something. Have you talked to him about it. A red flag is a red flag, I mean trust your gut.
