The egg came first, Because when you crack an egg open to eat it there is only the yolk and the whites inside of it. No chicken has formed yet.

It is more likely that the egg came first. Another animal could of laid a egg that was a bit different to others, which became a chicken.
Another example:
A giraffe had a short neck and ate grass, but when it all went he died as he couldn't get any more food. But another giraffe adapted to the conditions and grew a biger neck to be able to get to the high trees.
