I have a 2001 Ford Mustang.. When I hit about 30 to 40 mph it starts to miss... It like jerks once or twice. What does this mean? I have an appointment today to get it looked at but Im just curious to know now..

hopefully just a fuel filter could be a plug wire

Fuel! Fuel pump, Pump Filter, not the injectors though the garage may say that! Even a badly blocked air filter can be the cause of this? Don't want to worry you, But.. a head gasket could be failing due to the increased oil/water pressure, so this could be a warning sign of things to come. Have your cylinders pressure tested, though in the early stages of a gasket failure the results can be a little hazzzy. Edx

Sounds like a fuel problem. Could be that the injectors need to be cleaned, or something simple like replacing the fuel filter (this happens a lot when fuel filters get glogged). Good luck!

Could be just plugs or dirty injectors. Then again it could be more serious. Hard to diagnose with such little information.

Could also be a bad plug wire or coil pack.

it could be the gas filter.it could be dirty and not lettin the gas flow fast enough.
