Will garbage disposals clog septic fields?

Septic tanks work on the principle of bacteria eating the solids. The more solids introduced to the tank, the longer it takes to get rid of them. I would not recommend using a disposer for all of your food wastes. This especially applies to greasy foods.

yes, the bacteria which feeds on all waste products, deposited by flushing toliets, ground up food, will promote healthier bracteria for breaking down food materials.
