people dont feel compassion for her is because they, and sometimes me, feel as though she's been handed it all on a plate. From the Mickey mouse show to now, she doesn't have any money worries like most people, she has two children as well who she seems not to be taking into account! Also shes a pop star, and most people think she is fake, and/or the money has gone to her head.
So basically, they think she has everything and has nothing to worry about. although obviously she does, she has a little less on her mind and should be concentrating on raising her kids not shaving her hair, going out partying, and so on...
I hope thats what people feel...

Britney said all she wanted was a normal life, as a mother, as a person. she said she was tired of all the attention that was brought to her, she couldn't have a life without everyone watching her every move ... so why is she just giving the world more to focus on? She loves the negative attention ... for her ANY attention is good! Oh Poor Britney! She doesn't need compassion ... she needs an award for her ... um ... acting!

I have little compassion for her because she's not much more than a soiled brat. I'm tired of her lies "Yes I'm a virgin, okay I wasn't" and her outbursts grew wearisome a loooong time ago.
I feel bad that she married a lecherous fool who is little more than uneducated trailer trash, and I feel bad she's stuck raising his two hell-spawn because of it. However, she's a grown up and she made those decisions herself.
I feel a lot of compassion and sympathy for her two little children. They need their mommy to just love them and be with them right now and she'd rather be taking drugs and drinking. I was raisied by a mother like that, only we didn't have the benefit of a hundred million dollars. We were on welfare. I also didn't have any other family who cared. At least her children have that too - which is way more important than the money.
Right now, depression or other mental illnesses aside, she is behaving like a self-absorbed brat who seems to think the world owes her big time. If someone were to drop that kind of cash in my lap tomorrow, I'd make damn sure to use it the best way I could, and I'd be eternally grateful for the time and freedom to just be a mom to my own 3 kids.

She wouldn't worry about you or feel compassion for you when she was too busy partying. Why feel compassion for a spoilt rich brat who has brought it on herself, she hasn't got a disease or anything. If you want to feel compassionate then think of all the innocent people in war torn countries and third world countries, who through no fault of their own live in squalor and povety and can't get a fresh drink of water or medication.

Maybe they're just jealous of her fame and position. We should all have compassion for any troubled human being. It doesn't matter if it's Britney Spears or Britney Smith.

i agree with Tish P she was pushed to be a superstar and then made fun of i do feel sorry for her because she used to be okay and everything im not a big fan though and then she got a major break down because of the papparazzi and stress if they never forced her to be such a superstar at such a young age none of the stuff that has been going on with her would have happened and if she tried to take counseling the papparizzi would just make fun of her but after what's going on in her life i just hope that she will be able to keep her sanity

The whole celebrity thing is really weird and does seem to bring out the worst in human nature. People seem to regard celebs as fictional characters, and so will say the most awful things about them as if they can't be thought of as human. Nothing they do is ever allowed to be real or genuine. Like Angelina Jolie is always accused of adopting children for publicity, as if she can't possibly be human enough to care about anyone. And now people are saying Britney's doing everything for publicity, which is equally ridiculous.
I guess there's some human desire to be mean about other people and celebs get the brunt of it because they expose so much of themselves to the entire population. Seems odd that being an actor or singer has to make that necessary, yes some people just desire fame and will do whatever, but some people have a real love of what they do and that's their motivation- then they can't handle the fame when it comes, and people rip them apart for it and say they brought it on themself. It's really twisted.

I feel sorry for he children. She's just an attention seeker. She may well be suffering from post natal depression, in which case I do feel sorry for her, but she's hardly trying to improve her situation. She's in rehab now but we'll see how she behaves when she gets out. She's an adult and should behave as such.

No sympathy for her, she has had to many people try to help her and she shoves them off. Feel sorry for the children, thank goodness they are still babies right now but one day she is going to have to explain her ridiculous and immoral behaviour to them, this is going to follow her for the rest of her life

I feel sorry for her. I mean she was the world's pop star. People adored her. I was never a fan of her, or her music, but man has she gone from nice to eugh (xp)!! I feel sorry for her, she should quit the G.I. Jane act and make a new record. And she should leave the kids with K-Fed, she doesn't need them.
