Welcome to the world of writing.

Continue to send the book out to editors and agents. But don't sit around and wait for responses. Write more. Write write write.

If you're truly a writer, you're compelled to write, despite the lack of feedback, despite the stress, despite the odds against you.

Do you know how many rejections many authors have received before finally finding a home for their work? Do you realize how much stress they've gone through? You're not the first to go through this and you won't be the last.

If it's your dream, don't give up.

The Writer's Market for Children's Literature is the best source of information available today. If you haven't already gotten a copy, it's a must! You'll find all the information you could possibly need in it..usually about 30 bucks from any decent book store.

I'm level 2 now, I will answer your queries.

I know next to nothing about the publishing industry, but do know about http://www.lulu.com

Basically, they're an independent, on-demand publishing company. That means no editors to go through, no literary agents to hire. Check out their website.

That's the extent to which I can help you. Good luck to your literary endeavors!

Try submitting your story to a literary agent. If it is good, they should be able to find a buyer for it. If it isn't, they will let you know and you can go back to the typewriter.
