if I cut a worm in half, (accidental) while digging, what happens to the worm?

One half of the worm dies and becomes fertilizer. The other half will heal itself and continue on in it's quest to give you better dirt. Worms understand that accidents will happen, and know that you did not purposely cut his *** in half. He will forgive you !

Next time, put the two halves in a jar that is filled with dirt. Put a black piece of construction around that, and let it sit for a couple of days. If you see lots of tunnels, you have an alive worm, or maybe even 2.
