That's always been a theory since he woke up in the jungle and every one else was on the beach in the pilot episode... but I don't think he is. We heard Ben in the first episode of season 3 send Goodwin and Ethan off to both crash sites, not Jack.
Plus Jack's dad and his flashbacks pretty much seal it that he's not an other prior to the crash.
Logical conclusions as to why he might appear to be an other in next week's episode... he's Ben's doctor, and he can't take care of Ben when he's constantly locked up in a cage. He has nowhere really to run, especially when Ben has promised to send him home. He's proved his worth and shown that he's a good person and they free him because of that... or he's either been drugged / brainwashed and is one of them. My guess is that he is either faking it, or they let him go because of the deals made with Ben.

There are a lot of things that could be happening. I agree with some of the other responses.
I feel that Jack is just pretending to be friendly with them, I don't think he really wants to spend his time there, but there's only one of him to fight off all the "others."
Also, he could be brainwashed, or whatever it is that the others have done to them. They preach it being a "better life" and that their the "good guys." Look at what they did to the flight attendants and other losties that Jack saw when he was locked up. They converted them somehow.
Ya never know...maybe they did turn him!

Haven't you learned by now that things aren't always as they seem on Lost? We're just going to have to wait and all will be explained. I'm sure there's a very good reason why Jack is playing football with them.

Well - either:
1. He's an other.
2. They converted him by letting Sawyer and Kate go, and also by promising to send him "home".
3. He's brainwashed after a day or two in the Room 23. (the room Karl; was in)
4. He's PLAYING THEM.
5. It's a "twin" Jack playing football.
I don't really know - but i hope it's #4.

Yeah I don't know that was pretty weird. I don't think he's actually joined them I think maybe he's just cooperating because at this point he has nothing else. I'm glad Lock blew up eye patch guy, he was pretty annoying. I can't wait for next weeks episode to find out what's up with Jack. You never know with Lost.

LOST takes some really bizarre turns so there's no telling if Jack has converted to "The Others" or was one all along.., or.., a clone...
Actually I rule out the clone, but wouldnt be surprised.

He's drugged. Or brain washed. Or fake cooperating. That's all there is to it Jack would never, and could never be one of them. But can you believe he and Claire are half brother and sister! I LOVE THIS SHOW!
